Bayanihan 2014: Brigada Eskwala Posted May 2014 May 2014 - The Department of Education (DepEd) kicked off its annual school maintenance week—known as the “Brigada Eskwela” —in various schools nationwide. Brigada brings together school officials, parents, students, and private organizations in an effort to clean and repair schools, in time for enrollment the following week and the start of classes. - Official Gazette (2014) Parents participate the “Brigada Eskwela 2014” at Papaya Academy held May 26 - 28 year 2014. As what Br. Luistro, the current Secretary of Department of Education said that “Brigada Eskwela is not about the cleanest school. It is not about the most organized campus. It's about the whole community transcending differences and working together for the benefit of the Filipino learners.” In order to school ready for this school year, parents helping Papaya Academy to create a resilient and clean learning environment for the children to have motivation in going to school.
